Slam Dunk Fundraiser... Fundraising Events that Work.

I think this is interesting.  If you have an event that consistently performs, keep it going.

This event hosted consistently has all of the benefits of a fundraiser, with the happiness of a sucessful event.

People pay for tickets and come because the attraction is special.  Fundraising is just part of it.  I suspect the fundraising aspect is not what gets people to come if you catch my drift.  The event is worth paying for and that's the key.

Funny school fundraising stories...

Have any funny school fundraising stories?

I remember a few years back, I got a call from a lady who ruined her spaghetti on the stove.  'There's red plastic in it?' she exclaimed!

I was concerned and asked her what she put in there and she had put in a ceramic boil-over disc.  It's a little ceramic disc designed to prevent water from boiling over the top of a pot.  We were selling them and I knew they were white, not red.

Turns out, she put a plastic toy horn in the pot that her child had won through the fundraiser instead of the actual boil-over disc and it melted all over the place.

What's your funny fundraising story?
