PTA Fundraising Ideas

PTA Fundraising Ideas
Yes, if you are in a PTA, you're in the market for some PTA Fundraising Ideas!

Well...  You've come to the right place.

First off, I believe that school fundraising is changing.  I believe that PTA's want to do their own thing.  I also think that school fundraising companies are trying harder and harder to convince schools that they have the right stuff.

The fact is...

Fundraising companies, by and large, have no idea what makes a successful PTA fundraiser.  I know fundraising companies are well-intentioned - It's just that they focus on getting your business and not producing results.

My company offers what I know are the best PTA Fundraising Ideas But, I think it's better that we go over a few things before it will become clearer why we offer what we do.  I don't even point these out because I am trying to get your business.  It's that I believe in a new way of fundraising:

1) Fewer fundraisers are the way to go.

One main fundraiser per semester, with focused marketing and promotion will outsell a string of low-grossing fundraisers.

2) School fundraising companies vary.

A company that is not concerned about the outcome of your school fundraiser or providing the programs and incentives to help you achieve your goal is not for you.

3) You need programs and promotions.

A good fundraising company will have promotions and incentives that you can use to increase your business.  I don't really mean the stuff from the past.  I mean new and exciting ways to increase interest in the school fundraiser.

4) Have a solid strategy.

The strategy is why I pass on the link below to you.  It's because the fundraiser is a stand-alone heavy-hitting fundraiser.  It's got all the bells and whistles plus a bunch more to get everyone involved and excited.  This produces results well above and beyond your average fundraiser!

So, it's O.K., you can take just a minute and peek at the PTA Fundraising Ideas listed here.

Easy Fundraising Ideas for Elementary Schools

There are several easy fundraising ideas that elementary schools can use to raise significant funds within a short period of time.  Here is one fundraising idea for larger groups:

Frozen cookie dough is an easy fundraising idea for larger groups with some history of fundraising sales.  This is not a fundraiser for a small group because there are shipping minimums to reach.

Why it works?

Frozen cookie dough fundraisers are easy because the product sells!  Parents are quite used to how these sales work and they trust they will receive value and a quality product.

A few things to consider...

Get expert help.  It's best to get some expert advice.  Free fundraising advice is available by calling your fundraising company.  If you've no company leave a comment for me here below or hit me up on twitter for some honest advice.

You will need some help on delivery day.  If you are considering flying solo on a school-wide fundraiser such as a Cookie Dough Fundraising program get help. Boxes are heavy and there may just be a lot of them.

Teamwork is the key.  As with any school-wide fundraiser, you will get out more if you work together.  Simply put, the PTA or PTO along with principals, administrators and teachers have more to do with the success of your fundraiser than the fundraiser itself.

Having said that, a high average sale helps!  Fortunately, Cookie Dough Fundraising has high averages.  Look for $13-$15 per item and then put a solid team of experts and faculty that will work together and you've got a winning combination!

Why all my blogging over the summer is silly.

Yes, I know.  Everyone is out of school for the summer.  What's more, summer vacations and family fun have all but made my blog a ghost town.

Really, it's O.K.

I know how it goes.  One thing is for certain.  After hundreds of posts on my school fundraising news blog, I am continuing to post very regularly and my blog is a big part of expression in my life.  I enjoy just the mere hope that I am sharing and educating just one person out there and I am humbled by the opportunity to share my ideas.

Having said that, I can't wait until everyone get's back to school so I can engage with some educators, principals, school administrators and parents about how to most effectively host a school fundraiser.

I also believe my efforts will help fund the technological improvements to come as schools replace paper with electronics.  The educators I know are already working on ways to use computers to collectively research with students and I applaud their efforts.  This collaborative learning environment will change the way students learn.  I am looking forward to the day quality wifi devices replace paper but know that these changes will come only when finances meet desire.  I will be on the forefront in this technological revolution.

I hope you will find my posts and bookmark, register for feeds, check back occassionally and talk up my efforts if you can.  I feel my insight is the only real deal out there as far as elementary school fundraising information goes and although I do have a personal agenda, I leave it at the door most of the time :)
