Clearly teachers find these to be a distraction because just like baseball cards, jacks and a number of other childhood fads, these have gone gangbusters creating distractions in class. Obviously from an outside perspective, children tend to latch on to one thing or another quite frequently making them huge successes.

Silly bands are a rubber band make out of silicone and it really is a rubber band. The notable difference being that they are in the shape of animals, mythical creatures, sports - really any recognizable shape can be turned into silly bands. They can stretch out and then return to their original silly band pre-formed shape.
